The All-Star Saturday Night festivities was a big fat fun sandwich and a major milestone for the NBA's campaign to extend its reach around the world and shine up its image. For so many years now all-star games and the smaller events that lead up to the game, in every sport, have been lackluster at best and an awful chore at worst. But one thing is certain after these Saturday Night events: the NBA is doing something right. Oh, and the slam dunk contest? It's back with a vengeance.
