There have been many stories and even books written on the subject of selling wares at craft shows, but I have not noticed any written by Mr. or Mrs Average...
Some of the items that customers seem to enjoy much to my chagrin are those "cutsey" things like: an apron with a smiley-faced scarecrow,a wooden plaque (chinsy wood mind you)
