Romantic Movies of passionate love relationships between men and women have always held a special place in our cultural heritage.  These timeless treasures are remembered as symbols of physical passion and spiritual devotion. Although they are most often regarded as love stories, the literary foundation of these romantic movies is that of tragedies, and tragedies of a most telling kind.

After the chefs were given a holiday reprieve in the last episode of Top Chef they vowed to redeem themselves in the next elimination challenge.  Let’s see if they were able to do that.

Tropic Thunder is the making of a movie within a movie.  This ensemble cast includes Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr., Jack Black, Matthew McConaughey, Nick Nolte and Tom Cruise. 

I’m a fan of CBS’s television show Cold Case and if you have been watching it recently as I have you would have noticed the chemistry developing between two of their main characters.  The main characters are Scotty Valens played by Danny Pino and Kat Miller played by Tracie Thoms. 

For those of you still a little confused by this whole Blu-Ray thing, I will try and explain!

A superhero who was an anti-social alcoholic who didn’t actually like saving people this was something new to me.  At last a new twist and I liked it.  But was Hancock the type of superhero movie I was used to seeing?

Ugly Betty Season 2 is filled with a steady stream of storylines.  Its soap opera-ish quality means there is constant drama between several characters on the show.  This makes this television show hot and fresh; never stale.

Boston legal has one of the most intimate, loving, committed relationships I’ve ever seen on television.  And that relationship just so happens to be between two heterosexual males.  Denny Crane and Alan Shore of Crane, Poole, and Schdmidt, two of Boston Legal’s finest. 

We all eagerly anticipated the reunion show of the Real Housewives of Atlanta.  It’s always interesting to find out what everyone was feeling and thinking after seeing themselves on television and hearing what the other housewives were saying behind their backs.  And if you listened closely to the Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunions show you would have found out a lot of interesting tidbits.

Kim has one of the worst hair weaves I’ve ever seen.  It’s a pet peeve of mine when women have money and their hair doesn’t look good.  Raise your hands if anyone thinks Kim is under 30?  If she is she’s had a hard life and that’s all I’m going to say about it.  Doesn’t it just look like Nene whipped it good on her husband Greg?

So what made Kim start to lean more towards Sheree?  I believe its social climbing.  Right now it appears that Sheree has more things going on socially and a woman like Kim who has a Big Poppa knows which circles she should be in.

There were four designers left on Project Runway and we finally found out who the final three are.

 

We have all seen the way Kenly has behaved on Project Runway, but in the designers attempt to give her a taste of her own medicine I felt they were being just as ugly as she’s been.

A rant about everything and nothing

As always there is deception, betrayal, blackmail, and murder in this season of Desperate Housewives.But there is also love, friendship, loyalty, and overcoming obstacles as all women do but not before a few dirty little secrets are revealed.

Before inserting the first DVD I wondered what the writers could do in this season of House to top the previous ones.And was that even possible?You know how some series start off with that fire and then the spark begins to wane. Would House grow stale and sizzle off?

This weeks Project Runway challenge was to do a makeover from head to toe of a recent college graduate transitioning into the workforce.The winning makeover and designer would appear in ELLE Magazine courtesy of Project Runway.

Last night was the premiere of HBO’s new vampire series True Blood.New Orleans is the setting of this vampire tale and its heroine is Sookie Stackhouse a waitress at Merlotte’s bar and Grill.Sookie is played by Oscar winning actress Anna Paquin of the Piano and X-Men fame.

A take on the capitalization of the marvel comics becoming  box office hits. Ironman was amazing as it's predecesor pics were, and the forecast in my opinion is follow up movies will be too. History can't be wrong, and everyone loves a hero!

Last night’s Project Runway winner was Leanne.She managed to beat out her competition two weeks in a row.Congratulations to Leanne!Her design was flawless and it captured everything Diane was looking for and more.There was not one criticism from this week’s Project Runway judges.

When you hear a name like Steven Bochco immediately you remember shows like Hill Street Blues, L.A. Law and NYPD Blue. These were top notch television series Emmy nominated and award winning with phenomenal writers and talented actors.These series have created some of the most memorable characters in television history.

I usually like to get my re-caps of Project Runway out either the night an episode airs or at least the very next day.However, due to some unfortunate circumstances I wasn’t able to.But I felt that this challenge was one of the key challenges that Project Runway has and definitely needed to be commented on.

Who didn't love this show, besides the boyfriends and husbands who were forced to sit through it every week?

The one thing that I loved about Sex and the City is that it definitely had “water cooler” topics.Issues between men and women always make for colorful conversation.

This week’s episode was introduced by Project Runway Season 4 designer Chris March; dressed as a Viking Drag Queen.

This week’s challenge was to design an outfit that can go from day to night for a high powered business woman.The winning design would be worn by Brooke Shields’ character Wendy on Season two of Lipstick Jungle.

Shear Genius started out tonight with a gentle reminder of how Jaclyn Smith was disappointed with last week’s Charlie’s Angels challenge.No cut hung on the Allure wall of fame.And hopefully it shamed the hairstylist to get their act together.

Performances, Directing, Screenwriting aside this film raises bleak to a nearly transcendent level. That's not a good thing.
