Beverly Hill Cop IV is in the works. Yeah. A Beverly Hills Cop in our era. Parents, grab your DVD collection of this to school the young bucks on who Axel Foley is and get ready. Reports speculate that production will begin in 2010.
This could really give Eddie the boost he needs from "Meet Dave" which didn't do too good in the box office. Though the movie was good for families and kids, let's face it---11 million dollars (U.S. Total) for Eddie? Oh he can do better than that!
Let's break down why the Beverly Hills franchise could be
Eddie's big paycheck:
The first one was off to the races, making $15,214,805 in its opening weekend, and $234,760,478 total (U.S.)
Overseas-$81,600,000.
Beverly Hills Cop II- $153,665,036,
Overseas-$146,300,000.
The third movie saw a drop with $42,614,912 in the U.S. and $76,594,077 overseas.
So what does Eddie need to do? First of all, DON'T CHANGE IT UP! Utilize the new film technology but STICK TO THE SCRIPT. I want to be able to look at it and say, "Yeah, that's the Axel I know"
This should be great.
