Wow! Another 3-days of front page headlines have just been confirmed for the Republican party with the news that Palin's 17-year old daughter, Bristol, is 5-months pregnant. A good friend of mine, a republican who will probably be voting for McCain/Palin, said, "and that's why she should be at home with her children instead of in politics." (My friend is not a feminist... she is a "family-ist," a catholic and very conservative, sort of a 50's-era mom.) It remains to be seen how this will affect the McCain/Palin ticket. The fact that Palin's daughter

plans to keep the baby and marry the father of the baby at least echo's Palin's pro-life values. The McCain camp says that McCain was aware of the pregnancy before announcing Palin as his running mate. They couldn't buy this type of publicity... it makes you wonder what else will come out in the next few weeks.

Oh... and Palin's parent's truck made the news too... with their bumper sticker that states: "Vegetarian: Indian word meaning bad hunter." Sort of makes you wonder what the NRA got from that... and what Native American's think of it too... and the Vegetarians...
