In the sharpshooting Olympic contest Russia’s Natalia Paderna won the silver medal and Georgia’s Nino Salukvadze won the bronze medal.

These two competitors hugged and kissed on the platform as the world looked on.The significance of this embrace is that their two countries were on the brink of war since the Beijing Summer Olympics began last week.
