I love the summer, Halloween, animals, chocolate and music. That is the basis of knowing me. I also like to write and travel a little.

Today I started putting together my group for my towns annual Haunted Park. It is a fundraiser in which groups of people get assigned part of a trail in the woods to create a haunted walk for visitors. It runs only 2 or 3 nights but the planning and work are most of the year. Although we do this for fun, as there is no monetary compensation for us, we take it as seriously as a Hollywood venture.
Today I picked my theme or themes for the tunnel. My space is only 10 feet wide by about 20 feet long this year. I am splitting it up between zombies, ghosts, vampires and druids. That is only the basic thought. More will come later.
I picked what I want to do with the 4 rooms I am building. I drew out the facade, now all we need is the wood and some paint and it will come together.
We have all started scavenging the trash around here to pick up odds and ends that can be transformed into something diabolical. It takes a lot of creativity and work and people who would do anything for Halloween. You also need a good cast that
can act and not just stand there.
So the casting is going well. Our group consists of many from last year and a few new members. We have a total of 14 actors so far. Some of them have parts waiting for them. My sister wants to be the sacrifice and her friend wants to bring his chainsaw (without the blade, but it is still effective at scaring the devil out of people). Others are put in places where I need them. There are only 3 females in the group so far including me so they need to go where I need them.
Most of the pre-planning is now done. Now all we need to do is build, collect, decorate, and fix old props, new props, costumes and the frame as well as the facade. All will be done in 4 months time. A lot of time is put into this event during that time by not only me but my entire group. It goes quickly and many things can go wrong. I will put up an update every other Friday now and then every Friday from mid-September till out performance.
Most people have no idea what is involved to do this. We don't just get together in the begining of October and think hey lets throw something together. Maybe it will give people an idea of what it takes.
