I love the summer, Halloween, animals, chocolate and music. That is the basis of knowing me. I also like to write and travel a little.
I love music. That may come up in many of my blogs. But the truth is music is one of the things that can calm me down on a long trip home from the dentist stuck in traffic that is moving about 4 mph on the Blue Route. It also keeps me awake when I am trying to sleep and someone has the radio on.
The ultimate question is what makes me love the music so much. Sometimes it is the drum beat, or the guitars, sometimes how the whole thing flows together and sometimes it is the words. I often find myself remembering the words to some songs better than anything else.
It usually comes to me in one of those "I wish I wrote that" moments, I don't know if other people have them or if it's just me. Everyone has a different take on music. I like anything that I like, thats the best way to put it. It is an eclectic group of songs, most from any category that contains the word "rock", but is not limited to that.
So here goes the question, which
song lyrics do you like enough to think you should have been the one to write them? Seriously, everyone knows even subconsciously of songs they like because of the lyrics.
I guess since I brought it up, you want to know mine.
The first is from one of my very favorite bands, U2. From "one" the lyrics "...have you come here to play Jesus to the lepers in your head...". Beautiful I think. Simply beautiful. Nothing else to say.
The next one, Three Days Grace explains a relationship in one simple sentence. (Don't take that the wrong way I really do love my boyfriend and usually this does not refer to him). "I hate everything about you, why do I love you". I really do wish I had thought of that first. Sometimes leave it to a rock band to make the most sense.
There are about a zillion more lyrics that I love. Included are more U2, Green Day, John Lennon, 3 Doors Down, and Cobra Starship. These are just two to inspire a comment or two. And to share my love of music. Now share yours.
