I played my first video game in high school after the X Box came out.  I was so behind the curve that I preferred playing on my friend's old N 64, it was easier to understand.  Since then the only games I like are usually games intended for little kids.  I can't help that I actually have a chance of winning and the characters are cute.  I don't like games where you have to shoot things.  My aim is terrible.  How you shoot something with a controller anyway is something I may never really understand.  Takes too much thought I think.
So after my boyfriend tries to get me to play Grand Theft Auto and fails as I would rather play Diddy Kong Racing it leaves me to wonder when I will grow up a little and play a real video game.  Well if they made any that I liked, I thought, I might want to play.
    I was right.
My sister's boyfriend brought over a few games to play and there is one that I had heard from many people was a fun game.  An unassuming box with Guitar Hero III decorating the exterior frightened me.  Sounds hard.  I didn't want to play, I hate loosing.
So needless to say I did not play in front of them but alone out of curiosity.  I could hear it from the other room and if there is one thing that I cannot resist it is music.
I played AFI "Miss Murder" and my score was 60-something.  I didn't have the guitar for
the game, but a controller.  (which my sister said was easier).  I played and played then I got tired of it.
I couldn't get above an 80.  Compared to everyone else I was horrible.  I was ready to give up.
Then came the guitar.  It was funny looking.  Well, I have a real guitar but can only remember how to play one song and it isn't even the whole song.  I heard that the guitar would be hard to play with.  My sister and my boyfriend agreed, although my sister's boyfriend said it was easier.
OK then, here goes.  Alice Coopers "Schools Out" was the first song I tried.  Unbelievable! My score was a 96! I have reached my goal!  Passed it actually!  I could never do this again!  I should get a picture.  I did.  looking back on it perhaps it was embarrassing.   Well to everyone but me.   Sometimes like then, I have so little dignity.  But it was the first real video game I could play , and it was exciting.  I even had to go tell my mom outside.  She didn't jump up and down with me but you can't expect too much, right?
I tried again and my score was 98.  Almost perfection.  Only 2 points off so yeah to me that was perfection to me.  That was almost 2 weeks ago.  I decided to retire on level 1 with that score.  If I continued I may do worse and I hate loosing.
So until another game comes out, not Rock Band, I like playing against people not with them, I will consider myself a level 1 guitar hero.
