No doubt this check will help us all. I'm not sure if it's really to help the economy or if it's the last thing President Bush will do in office to help his reputation right before he leaves. Regardless, not everyone is guaranteed to receive the tax rebate check. This will include thousands of people. If you don't file 2007 taxes, you won't get one. Low-income workers, socials security recipients,
and some individuals who receive veteran benefits are among the people who will miss out. If those people or anyone else makes at least $3,000 in qualified income, then you'll get your check. But you have to file a tax return.

From what I understand, we will be receiving our checks in the mail in May. As always I won't count on it until I see it. It's "the checks in the mail" part that bothers me.
