Anne E. Brown tends to see the world from an overactive imagination fueled by voracious and uninhibited reading from an early age.
Where is found loneliness and humiliation
feasting on the will to achieve
fear
that plague
corrupting ambition
hollowing out the Soul
leaving behind bare bones
inevitable grief
For the denial of the Spirit of Man
created
profoundly dependent
on the communion with
the sanction of others
Why must we war with our own souls
insisting we can "go it alone"
Man can do much for a time
but in time, will fall
for the refusal to save himself
