Yes, there are a lot of other things to do on Sunday – read, relax, take a walk, spend time with my family, blah, blah, blah. However, ever since someone took the time to explain to me what football is all about, and what the penalty flags mean, I actually grew to really enjoy it in the last few years.

So my Sunday tradition since last Fall was:

(1)     Wake up

(2)     Read the Sunday paper with coffee

(3)     Clean up around the house

(4)     Wait for football to start…

(5)     Have a couple of beers, make some appetizers, and relax!

Now that I understand football (unlike a few years ago), I actually was NOT watching the big game for the commercials for once, it was for the actual football game.

As a loyal New York Giants fan, I almost had a mild heart attack the last 3 games (Tampa Bay, Dallas Cowboys, and Green Bay), and a major heart attack during the Superbowl.

My team won! My team won! Oh my God, I never win anything. The excitement was almost too hard to handle.

So now I will have to sit back and think and ask myself, “What was I doing on Sundays before football season?” If I remember, I will let you know.
