Fear
By Eric L. Moreno
Glass shatters and scatters
Like the ruined disks
Of my spinal column
My face bleeds
Burning out the pain from my
Skull
It's not enough to cut through
The Strange
Numbness
Blinding darkness
Awakens me
Light ghosts stir before me
Faces never seen before
Surround me and pull me from the
Crumpled heap.
Panic forces itself upon me
An unwanted advance
I feel no feeling
Nothing.
Please God, no.
Not this …
