It was just a few years ago when the debate raged within the public school system of whether or not to allow the soft drink "SURGE" to be available to students. They claimed it made them hyper, full of energy, and unable to sit still.
Apple has created a surge all on its own. The market will never be the same after the latest apple trend. An article posted recently suggested that Apple was trying to move away from the computer systems industry and more into the everyday electronics. Finally Steve Jobs would wave a white flag to Bill Gates and seek another niche in the market. However, ignorance, I'm afraid, prevails in many "PC" gurus.
According to an article from Apple Insider the demand for apple systems, especially the Macbooks, is skyrocketing. In the past three months 17% of those that bought Notebook computers went with Macs. The desktop percentage was holding at the normal 7%, but this could be effected by the fact that the survey was taken only a day after the new iMac was unveiled. The demand for the new iMac is staggering, you would know if you would have tried to buy one, as I did.
The next 90 day projection for computer sales has Apple at 28% higher Macbook sales and a 23% increase in Mac desktops. (iMac, Mac Pro)
Dell and HP are seeing steady drops in their sale numbers. Dell still holds a strong advantage on corporate accounts, however, their 44% satisfaction ranking was the lowest available. If you have ever worked with Dells you would be in the dissatisfied section.
Among individual customers Apple is leading the pack with a whopping 86% satisfaction from its customers. This is a sizable lead on the PC market with the closest competitor, Toshiba, sitting at 59% satisfaction rating.
We should see a huge upswing in Apple sales and popularity within the next year.
