All I know is I keep getting points which turn into gift cards for doing nothing but opening email advertisements. I don't get any junk mail either - everything is from MyPoints. I also saved 30% on my Christmas Cards from Snapfish just by going through MyPoints - and of course I got points too!

I am also a member and I recently got a $10 Home Depot Certificate - all for free, I love it! Just for checking emails, and completed some surveys they offered, and I ordered something through their portal, I would have order anyway from the merchant's site directly - but I got points for it!

I have been a member of MyPoints for several years, I signed up when they first started.
There are also short on site surveys, trial offers, points back for purchases at affiliates and games for earning points. Though I have never earned enough points for anything more than a small Old Navy, Barnes&Noble or restaurant gift card, it's worth it for opening the email and clicking. |

o2s - could you give me a specific example because I still don't understand what you are trying to say. Who do I sign up with? and where? What is the affiliate program that I am missing???

o2s - Okay, I checked out the affiliate on one of the sites on MyPoints and yes I can become an affiliate and make tons of money if I promote them on my own website, but I don't have my own website as I'm guessing most of these people posting can relate to. It takes work and money to create and manage your own website and it's not something I want to do right now - so I think I'll just stick to getting points and receiving gift cards for hardly no work at all!
I'll keep this in mind should I ever have my own website though. |

Ok...you do not need a website, you just need to use the link the website would give you to drive sales to them. I do this all the time if the affiliate program is worth it.
the sites you are buying from on mypoints offers an affiliate program, so mypoints gives you the affiliate link and when you buy they earn $$ they have made up a points system so when you spend X amount they will send you rewards cards...So basically lets say you make them $75 in commission then they are giving you $25 reward cards. thats how it works, In my case I know this so why only get $25 if i can get the full $75...back sense? |

I did MyPoints for a few years but decided the "rewards" weren't worth my time.
