Sadly it seems that the desire to really know and understand GOD and what HE wants has faded somewhat over time. I think that we (and I am including myself) have lost that passion and replaced it with a more self serving version of those early writings. Those people devoted every minute of every day to knowing GOD, whereas we squeeze in prayer time (usually to address our needs), and worship time, if and when we can. Maybe the current world crisis will serve as our wakeup call and reignite that kind of passion in us !
