Looking to pick up a couple of Nintendo Wii games for the kids this Christmas without breaking the budget? Yes, with parents across the country strapped more than usual, it is important to stretch that dollar and get quality game play in an appropriate game your kids will enjoy. Crazy, wild, raving rabbids. The main characters of this game belong in the nuthouse, but if they’re not going to be committed, they might as well be in your Wii console!

Rayman returns, this time to battle the rabbids in more than seventy mini games, including a disco game, plunger shooting, cow throwing, lock the cabana door, etc. Whether your kids are three or twenty three, everyone will love this game, and it can usually be found for less than $20.

Rayman Raving Rabbids is an up to four person game, with use of the Wii Nunchuk required.


Wild Earth African Safari by Majesco                                                             ESRB Rating: Everyone

This is a fun, two player capable educational game that gets positive reviews from anyone who purchased it for the purpose of wholesome educational gameplay.  Complete 11 missions with both primary and secondary objectives. Includes more than 30 African animals including: cheetah, crocodile, crowned crane, elephant, flamingo, frog, bat, gazelle, giraffe, hippo, hyrax, leopard, lion, ostrich, oxpecker, pangolin, rhinoceros, suricate, tortoise, trout, vulture, warthog, wildebeest and zebra.

The two player cooperative mode requires one player to drive while the other snaps the photographs. With changing weather and terrain, and a disturbance meter that shakes the controller adding to the difficulty of taking photographs when you do not approach the animals carefully.

For under twenty dollars, you can’t go wrong with this game.


Boogie w/ Microphone by Electronic Arts                                                    ESRB Rating: Everyone

Boogie capitalizes on the current mania with music and rhythm games. Imagine full body video game karaoke with four decades of music and a character named a “Boog” that represents you. The newer version of this game has more of a challenging story line, but with either game, you’ll get quality game play and a game that the whole family can play. Typically around $30, this game will be worth the money before dawn on the second day you own it.


All Star Cheer Squad by Play THQ                                                                   ESRB Rating: Everyone

If you have a girl, young or old, who is into cheering, this is the Wii game for you.  Play a year in the life of a cheerleader, learn new cheers, compete and try to achieve Captain status. What is especially nice about this game is that it is made to work with the Wii Balance Board, which means your young cheerleader will be staying physically fit while playing the game.  Around $39.95 and you own it. It would be a bargain at twice the price!


Backyard Baseball ’09 by Atari                                                                         ESRB Rating: Everyone

For the budding young baseball player in your home, comes Backyard Baseball ’09. This is the only kids game to hold the MLB and MLBPA Licenses. With youth versions of all 32 teams and at least one kid version of an MLB pro on each team, this game is a must have. Reviewers across the web call this the best game on the Wii. The best baseball game on the market, etc. It’s typically less than $30, and it combines authentic game play with hilarious G-rated scenarios for an addictive experience. Chek it out!
