Are you using Twitter yet? What the heck is Twitter and how can you use Twitter for social networking?

Twitter is a Great Tool to Gain Followers
Many people scratch their heads and wonder what all the twitter is about . . . Twitter.

Twitter, is exactly that: "twitter." Huh??

Twitter designers came up with an innovative concept for our busy times. Twitter is designed so that you can post short updates of your activity, letting others know what you've been up to (snoozing in until noon), what you are doing presently (e-mailing and flirting with that cute person you met on Facebook or Plenty of Fish), or what you plan on doing (making dinner reservations or staying in and eating that whole box of cookies for supper)--all in manageable-sized bites: short posts of 140 words or less. Twitter streamlines "staying in touch."

Twitter asks: What are you doing? Users reply by typing information into the box. As you use up your letters, the number at the top of the box decreases. Simple, eh? you can chatter away to your heart's content, whenever you have a free moment.

Ease of use has Twitter users all a-twitter (excuse the pun).

I have to admit that when I first started getting my feet wet with Twitter, I was dumbfounded as to how it actually worked. Of course, I could have simply read through the site offerings, but come on, how many of us really read through all that stuff?? That's like those user agreements with miles of mind-numbing "legalese." You know all that abstruse gobbley-gook that makes the eyes glaze over. Most of us just blindly hit "accept," make it go away,  and pray we aren't hit with some kind of fee later.

So instead, I stumbled along, hoping for easy enlightenment.  I noticed that the numbers changed colors and were prefixed with a negative sign. I wondered if I was being penalized for something I'd done wrong and like Mr. Bean, I looked around to make sure no one was looking and slinked off. I stopped using temperamental Twitter for awhile.

One day, when I was feeling unusually motivated, I finally decided to take the bull by the horns and learn what Twitter was about. (Cautionary note: make sure that any bulls aren't live!)

If you, too, want to learn how to use Twitter to network and gain followers for your blogs or articles or simply to make friends and fritter away time instead of working or doing necessary tasks, read on for handy tips on using Twitter.
See? The whole Twitter scenario isn't as daunting as all that. Once you get on to Twitter you will see why you should be using Twitter. In fact, you may find you become hooked on Twitter. It is so easy to use after all.

You can use handy Twitter to gain a following . . . in short painless increments.
