http://articlesbydesign.com The Democratic National Convention recently heard Hilary Clinton's call to "Unite", although most of her speech may be falling on selectively deaf ears. Even though Mrs. Clinton has taken a stand in an effort to redirect support to the Obama camp, there are many staunch Clinton-ites who have clearly voiced their unwillingness to follow suit. Add to this the quips from Giuliani, and a barrage of McCain flavored ads designed to pick up these Clinton leftovers, and all we have left are the masses of die-hard Clinton devotees perched on the fence eating sour grapes. These people refuse to grieve and it is just not healthy.
From the outside looking in, it is clear to even the most politically ignorant that the elective parties do not consist of the Democrats, the Republicans and the Hilary Clinton Party. Sure, it would have been a first for the United States to have a female President, but it is not not going to happen this time around. If voters are so greatly in favor of seeing something new, then Barack Obama also fits that description. Oh, and by the way, this country has not yet seen a President named McCain either.
When Hilary Clinton delivered her speech, opponents implied she was merely adding her dash of sour to the Obama punchbowl. For those who distinctly heard Hilary Clinton poisoning Obama's well, it is evident that twisted bias has taken up residence. Those who are Clintonesque certainly heard it; logic does not reside in the minds of these people. These pantsuit warriors were sprinkled generously throughout the Obama audience and continued to fly Hilary banners. Hello - it died and we buried it June, 2008!
As each day passes and the Democratic National Convention progressively takes on the look and feel of an annual rally of "unnamed, independent soap distributors," one may be tempted to climb up on the fence and join the hoards. Meanwhile back at the ranch, dear little Chelsea Clinton has voiced her praise for Mom's efforts which she sees did not pay off - this time. If anyone had a reason to be in denial it would be Chelsea. Fortunately though, common sense does live here. Now that is a quality to be admired.
