In the past forty years of my life I have personally witnessed the regression of our society, as we have strayed from a once structured society, to a chaotic blend of religious beliefs. The one religion I find the most interesting, and understand the least, our infatuation with worshipping dogs. Five-Hundred years from now when archeologists dig up the remains of our society, they will find this to be true, the evidence will be overwhelming, finding the many things associated with this modern religious belief. Do not get me wrong I love animals as much as the next person, but come on lets get real.
People now walk behind dogs as servants, picking up their droppings as they leave them. Dogs have a better chance at health care in our country, as there are more animal shelters and veterinary clinics in our country than shelters for battered children. People accommodate them more than they do women and children, hotels, motels, even businesses are giving better treats to dogs than they do children.
One could honestly say that if Michael Vick used children to fight rather than dogs he would probably got off with a warning. Animal abuse gets swifter justice than child abuse and requires much less evidence.
