I was born in Great Falls, Montana, and lived in Billings Montana most of my life. I am adopted. I moved to Texas in January, where I am currently living life to the fullest! I wrote poetry all through high school and now would like to expand. I enjoy life with my husband, and our 3 cats and 2 gerbils.

We've all seen it. The light, the celebrities, the gorgeous gowns and outfits on the runway and red carpet. The stick skinny people wearing them. I remember being little and seeing all the skinny girls walking down the runway in the most beautiful dresses. I wanted to be them. I don't anymore, and wonder why i did. I don't look at them as pretty anymore. Not when i think about what they have to go through to get that thin and what they do to themselves. I do realize some of these girls are just naturally thin. There isn't anything wrong if it comes naturally. There is nothing glamorous about eating salad and puking it back up because someone said you needed to loose another inch off of your already protruding hipbones. How does a full figured girl like me know about such things you ask? Simply because I have seen the horror stories on tv. I also had a friend in high school that went into modeling. I sat and watched her excuse herself from the table after we all had pizza for a sleepover,
then go to the bathroom and heave up what she had just eaten minutes before. You hear about more and more people suffering from anorexia and bulimia these days that i think a lot of it can be blamed on the fashion industry and its focus on the skinny look. Some countries such as Spain are now putting restrictions on how light you can be to participate in fashion shows in the country.
I think more though that we need to focus more on reassuring these poor souls that this isn't a third world country. There is no shortage of food. You don't need to starve yourself. Big is beautiful too, so why not have an extra fry? Buy that cheesecake when you are feeling down. Comfort foods work for skinny people too. No one will think you are fat. More likely they will applaud you for eating a full meal. Enjoy your food, don't loathe it. Good exercise and healthy eating are fine but everyone should indulge every once in a while. Here's to seeing full figured girls on the runway :) And to more models eating and escaping the unfair and strict world they are living.

I kind of agree. However, most people know that in order to be successful in acting and modeling you have to project an image. They spend most of their time working on their appearance. As a profession it is important to follow the guidelines. I would expect a systems operator to read about computer networking. Truthfully, if being fat was in they would spend four hours eating everyday.
