I was born in Great Falls, Montana, and lived in Billings Montana most of my life. I am adopted. I moved to Texas in January, where I am currently living life to the fullest! I wrote poetry all through high school and now would like to expand. I enjoy life with my husband, and our 3 cats and 2 gerbils.

I remember school, and one thing that I never had enough of were pens. People always borrowing them and not giving them back, or the pens that went MIA in the bottomless abyss of the high school locker. I have discovered that the regular ink pens may be a bit outdated. Gel pens seem to be all the rave, with seemingly as many different types and colors, and brands as there are stars in the sky.
Ink pens have had one particular problem that seemed to arise quite frequently in that they would spontaneously stop writing, as if out of ink. Even if they were new. Gel pens have proven to be quite a bit easier to operate in that they are more likely to not malfunction and to continuously write until out of ink. I am favoring Gel pens these days over ink pens, but have found one type of gel pen that isn't worth the money you spend on it.
They are all the craze
with teeny-boppers. Glitter gel pens. I will admit i fell hard and fast for their glittery goodness when they first came out, only to be disappointed. They seem to develop the same problem as our old forgotten friends, the ink pen. It seems to me that the glitter jams up the roller ball on the end of the pen, rendering it unable to write. I have since gotten rid of all the glitter pens i had once collected due to the fact that they had all ceased to function.
My recommendation for all that love their glitter without the hassle, would have to be metallic permanent markers. They come in the fine point variety that is perfect for writing, and don't bleed through paper so far as i've found. So next time you have lost all your pens and feel the need to invest in something new for a change, give gel pens a try if you haven't already. I think you will be pleased with the performance over the old ink style.
