Hello from the Northwoods of Wisconsin. I was born and raised here in Wisconsin. I lived abroad in Central America for a few years but definitely missed my native roots, and the cheese. It really is good! One thing I could live without, and of course it's not the Packers, but the frigid temps and SNOW! I hate it! I feel like a grumpy mama bear that has to hibernate for half of the year. I am 35 years old, married, have three energetic boys and four dazzling dachshunds. All of the "young'uns" can be naughty at times, especially Rudy our youngest, 1 year old wire haired Weiny. Believe me, if you are looking for a breed to fall in love with, this is it. I say they are like potato chips, you can't have just one. I have many hobbies and I like to keep busy. I can not do just one thing at a time, heaven forbid, like just sit and watch tv. It doesn't work for me. I am the queen of multi-tasking. I love to read, write, make beaded jewelry, going to flea markets, gardening, doing home improvement projects and so-o-o-o-o much more. I can't name it all. I did manage to get a "craft" room where I hide all my goodies, computer and projects. It is a uniquely organized place, ha-ha! I majored in communications at U of WI- Superior, have a business writing certificate, have taken creative writing classes, medical transcription, every e-commerce thing out there and I also can speak and write in Spanish and often do translations. I also received a certificate for being on the National Dean's list in college. This was a real thrill for me because at the time I was enrolled full-time in school and had a full-time job. I love to watch documentaries, love politics, social issues and talk radio. I am am excellent at remembering statistics and odd facts, but forget names after minutes of meeting someone. I'd really like to make an impact on somebody's live with my writing. I would love to inspire them to act on something, be it a social issue, start to exercise or eat better or even go back to school. I want to use my writing to help others. Tansy

A wonderful way to relax and tap into your creative side is by getting started making your own beaded jewelry. It's simple to start, just walk into any bead store. They seem to be around every corner nowadays. Browse the bead sections. What strikes your fancy? Is it a certain color or style? Maybe you want to pick up a beginners book or magazine to get inspired. The sky is the limit. Sometimes I will have a particular outfit in mind that I want to match. I always seem to come home with a bagful. Besides beads you may need to get some findings, which if it's a necklace you want to make is the wire or string and crimp tubes and clasp. The same findings apply for a bracelet. Earrings require the posts or if dangling ones the eye pin and fish hook and back. You my try one of the many classes offered nowadays or self teach by book or magazine. I like the second approach as I can pace myself or don't feel a need to compete, as this is a new hobby and I want to enjoy the creation aspect of it.
Happy beading!
