The nuked yellow diamonds have a bizarre, sort of fake glow. They LOOK irradiated. They look un-natural. There is simply more character in a natural yellow diamond. If you want a nuked yellow, get a yellow CZ.
If you want a real diamond, get a genuine natural yellow. Below are the yellow diamond grades, starting with the most scandalously expensive and ending with the more affordable yellows. After that is a photo chart of these yellow diamond grades. All were graded by the GIA--the gold standard for grading diamonds. And a GIA is particularly important in buying a yellow diamond. But NOTHING is more important as what your eyes see.

Below is a Fancy Light Yellow. While it might not look as yellow on the chart above while loose, you'll notice that if it's well set, the color often deepens. This is the result of being set in yellow gold prongs to bring out the yellow and the contrast of the icy white trillion side stones.

Below is a fist full of yellow diamond rings. Once someone sees a well cut yellow diamond that is set in a well-manufactured ring, they are goners. Yellow diamonds are like golden sparkles. They are the sought after among the Hollywood types to regular gals. A Lighter yellow can be STUNNING, so don't discount a lighter yellow. Some people prefer these over the vivid yellow diamonds. The one below is a fancy yellow radiant cut with step cuts of baguettes in platinum.

And below is a diamond ring with an icy white princess cut center (.72cts) and fancy yellow princess cut side stones. So you don't have to have a yellow center, you can have yellow side diamonds.
