First day of my weight gain program.

Day 1 of Weight Acquisition Program

Well I started the day off later than I’d planned. My girlfriend convinced me to sleep in. Usually that’s my role. And I went to sleep much too late last night. Tomorrow will be another story!

Weight at the beginning of the day was 118.6

I have eaten two large meals thus far. I probably should have squeezed in more in a smaller period of time, but I wanted to clean my apartment and that took longer than I thought. One more meal will come later, bringing the calorie count to around a little less that 2000. Less than I’d planned….

I did about 30 minutes of light jogging but I was slowed down by my weak ankle. Wondering if I should get that checked out before continuing to run…

My exercises consisted of 50 push-ups, 50 sit-ups, 20 weighted squats (again, slowed due to injured ankle), and 45 minutes of various dumbbell exercises.

Current weight 122.8

Although it seems I’ve gained weight, fluctuations of 4 pounds throughout the day are pretty typical.

I’m actually surprised I did what I did. I was able to wake up when I planned for once and I think it will be very easy to do so more often, but I’ve got to make it happen without going back to sleep. I need to focus a lot more on my diet; I won’t get anywhere without the higher caloric intake. Also, I took in more fat than necessary and although I want to gain weight, I do not want to do so carelessly by putting my health at risk from taking in too much saturated fat. Tomorrow I will open up my old nutrition book and make a more detailed plan concerning my meals. I’m also somewhat surprised that I had to push myself to do that many push-ups and sit-ups. I really need to be doing this. I didn’t stretch and I didn’t meditate. I guess I’ll do those after posting this.
