Portland, Oregon's most populous city, is home to a thriving art community and is one of the nation's hotbeds of body art. In fact, as you walk down any Portland street, you're apt to see more piercings and tattoos than you'll see in almost any other American city. Want to jump in and join the trend? The artists here are very professional, everything seems perfectly antiseptic, and people generally seem to be exceedingly happy about the quality of the artistry. Everything considered, Sea Tramp is probably the best bet for newcomers to tattooing because the artists are friendly and patient with those who don't know exactly what they're doing.

In terms of tattoo work, their artist Anne is very well-known and established within the local community, and is probably the most talented member of the staff. Also, everyone who works at Adorn is APP certified, which is always nice for the prospective clients' ease of mind.

Amy and Matt are supposed to be particularly good. And, what's more, Tiger Lilly draws in a seriously dedicated crew of repeat customers. What exactly does that mean? Well, those in the know, who have had several different tattoo experiences, only give repeat business to the best tattooists around. So, all the returning visitors are a definite sign that Tiger Lilly is doing something right. The one serious drawback is that those unfamiliar with body art may feel a little bit out of place at first. The staff is friendly, though, and will soon put your mind at ease.
