This article is so "on point" and amazing. I love diamonds i think they are beautiful but at the same time I think they are over-rated, everybody wan'ts the diamond that is D in color and VS1 or VS2. One of things I found in my qwest is that an appraisal is very subjective. You can have two different appraisers look at a diamond and they come up with two different ratings (trust me I had it done). I would also encourage people to consider the second hand market (ie people who are upgrading or need to sell their rings) there are some great deals and you can have the stone reset. I was able to get two rings in both white gold and yellow gold for a fraction of the cost. My marquise stone is .80 carats and it is k-L in color and I1, but it is an absolutely beautiful stone.....

Again, this is an awesome article and thank you for sharing a different perspsective. we really need to wake up as far as diamonds are concerned and not buy into all of the propoganda on how we should spend our money
