I need help.Have 1 1/2C lush pink dia. A approx. 1/2C Pink/blue/purple. You're right the pink/purple is stunning. Women can't take eye off pink. Blue isn't set. It is a Tiffany type cone shape. Thanks, Joan Got answers of its glass, it's a fancy, but edges are worn, NOT. I need to sell these. Don't know what to ask from jeweler. (sp). I live near Pittsburgh, Pa. I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

Pink diamonds are all over the place in price. You might want to try Neil Beaty, an appraiser in Denver. http://www.gemlab.us/ Or you could post the question on http://coloreddiamond.info.

What is a marking S with a vertical line going through it
mean? I have a sterling silver ring but the pink stone in it
is oblong with a point on each side. It shows up cloudy yellow
under a blue light in the dark. I can't read letters through
it when I turn it upside down. It has no scracthes that are
from wear and the one corner that hangs over the setting
is not chipped or shattered or anything and I wear my rings
hard. If they are glass or other gems they will damage but
this one has not. When the sun shines in it there is a super
bright spot that you will see really bright but the cut is a
shallow cut.
Also I got a yellow stone that is really shiny with obout 52 facets
but it does have scratches on the ring though I'm curious to know
what an outline of a diamond and a capital F in the center means?
It too is sterling.

The marking would be that of a designer I assume not having seen the piece. The shape you describe is a pink marquise, probably a pink CZ if it is set in sterling. Either that or a pink topaz. Diamonds rarely have scratches.
