I am of Hispanic and African descent, and suffer from depression. I believe that I have been suffering fro depression since I was a child. I was raised by a single mother, and I am also a single mother with a daughter who has handicapp issues. I do not understand where the idea comes from that black women are strong and nothing gets us down. We feel just like anyone else. I really wonder where that stereotype comes from.
